I agree the author had some interesting thoughts, but the whole book seemed to be written to explain to everyone how clever the author is.

You can imagine the author being that guy crying in the corner yelling "you'll be sorry you ignored me! you'll see"

I couldn't suffer the author's insecurities enough to read the whole thing.Tom Lawlerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07160802853936831650noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8225788420446599029.post-47521226678350505112010-02-08T00:41:07.849-05:002010-02-08T00:41:07.849-05:00I'm curious to see what you think about "...I'm curious to see what you think about "Black Swan" as you ponder random lessons from it as time goes on...I had a somewhat complicated reaction to it, similar to you (although I have to say I found the author's human incosistencies and weirdnesses overall very charming, even though he seems kinda incorrigible, just because he's so wholeheartedly ok with not coming across as overly edited/polished and i admire his stubbornness!). Anyway, I have found that I've revisited lessons from the book over and over throughout the years, and it's one of those ones on my shelf that I like to just pick up and read at random because I always am reminded of some silly trap my mind has fallen into.

Anyway, i really enjoy reading your reactions to these books, bravo! -cherCherylhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01604648152541873994noreply@blogger.com
